Flipping Your Class: Designing Lesson Pages in Sakai

View the presentation and resources from the TLC Workshop, “Flipping Your Class: Designing Lesson Pages in Sakai,” February 9 & 10, 2016. Presented by Dr. Kristi Verbeke, Teaching and Learning Center and Sarah McCorkle, Instructional Technology Specialist.

In this workshop we learned how to use Sakai’s Lesson Builder, which provides a space to create structured lessons for your students. You can build a variety of activities within these lessons, which students complete in preparation for your flipped class, such as readings, viewing videos, taking quizzes, posting blog entries, and participating in online discussions. We talked about effective navigation, organization, layout and page design for your lessons and participants had an opportunity to build a complete lesson for a flipped class day, a “snow day” assignment, or other resource area.
