Recording Studio

The TLC’s recording studio.

The Teaching and Learning Collaborative/Digital Scholarship space on the 6th floor of the Wilson wing of the ZSR Library hosts a small recording studio. Video production is included as a part of the course development process for faculty working in partnership with Online Education. If you are interested in using the studio space but are not currently developing an online or blended course, please contact the Office of Online Education for more information.

Lightboard

The studio also houses a lightboard. The lightboard provides faculty with a novel way to record instructional material typically created on a whiteboard or chalkboard. It is ideal for homework help repositories, flipped classroom lessons, just-in-time instruction or for those times that one “just needs a video!”

Dr. William Turkett demonstrates a potential use case for the Lightboard.

To learn more about the Lightboard Project here at WFU, see the Instructional Technology Group’s Lightboard page. Please reach out to your Instructional Technologist or contact the Office of Online Education if you are interested in recording with the lightboard.
